Summary

We had these golf club racks constructed specifically for storing our inventory. If you have a large golf club inventory and are looking for a way to efficiently store your stock, this is a GREAT system. We have used this method here for 20+ years. The last of these racks were constructed in 2012 and are still like new!

Details

All Steel Construction: Vertical supports are 3/4 inch steel square tube; horizontal 1/2 inch steel square tube; large X holds everything together at the top.
Sheer/Lateral Support: Plywood 1/2 inch wood, provides SUPERIOR sheer/lateral support.
Powder Coated: Green - nice golfie color! Excellent condition.
Modular Design: More or less racks can be bolted together.
Easy Assembly: Bolts hold each rack together with 12 linear feet of plywood between each rack. At end, lag bolts hold last rack to a sturdy wall.
Size & quantity: Each rack is 13 feet tall by 4 feet by 4 feet. There are TWO cell sizes: 7 & 15 inch width by 4 inch high. There is a quantity 6 of the 7 inch cell racks and 5 quantity of the 15 inch cell racks. Total: 5 racks.
Capacity: Each 7 inch cell rack holds approximately 3,200 irons and the 16 inch cell rack holds about 3,700 irons. However, it depends on how tight you decide to pack each cell. We used 7 & 16 irons respective of cell size as these numbers were comfortable to work with.
Notice: These are tall - you will need a high clearance or warehouse ceiling and a rolling ladder to access upper rows. Alternatively, you could cut the rack in half to make TWO 6-1/2 foot tall racks, however, you would need to add another X on the top of the 2nd one.
Location: Costa Mesa, California. Free pickup. I do not know if these are shippable.
What's included: Each rack comes with 4 rack sub-panels, a "Big X" at the top, 12 linear feet of plywood and all nuts and bolts to assemble.
Other Uses: These racks are not limited to golf clubs. Anything in high quantity AND thin could be stored in this system. Examples are hockey sticks, fishing poles (collapsible), baseball bats or other materials are possible.
BONUS: Purchase the remainder of the racks and get the original template for FREE! You can then construct more racks, if needed. The picture might not look like much but to a metal worker, it is! This template cost over $400 originally to build and today's cost would be higher.
